Story of My Life
Welcome to my website! My name is Ben Romig. I am currently a Junior at Cypress Woods High School in Cypress, Texas. In addition to focusing on my academic studies, I am an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America and a member of The Woodlands Diving Academy. I was a competitive swimmer for several years before I started diving. I have only been diving for roughly four years. I don’t have a lot of meet experience, but I love it and want to dive in college. I have a passion for traveling and enjoy exploring new places and cultures. I am involved in several church activities and give back to my community. I will graduate from high school as a member of the Class of 2024, and I am interested in pursuing a career in engineering.

Academics
I knew I was interested in STEM and Engineering when I attended my first Robotics EV3 Competition. I consider myself to be a studious individual. I love all things related to math and science. During my high school career thus far, I have made A’s in all of my classes, except for one B during the fall semester of Spanish IV AP. I was ranked 5th in my class during my sophomore year, but my one B and diving lowered my class rank. I will continue to take both Dual Credit and AP courses. I will also study for the SAT and ACT to get the best possible scores I can. I have made the Distinguished Honor Roll and Honor Roll both my freshman and sophomore years respectively. During the summers, I have taken various courses in personal finance, entrepreneurship, self improvement, psychology, and engineering. My plan after high school is to study engineering and mathematics. I am still not quite sure which field of engineering I will major in. I am also interested in attending graduate school to secure an MBA degree.

Diving
I love diving, and I am very interested in continuing my diving career in college! Diving is a sport where I can continually improve and get better. I have been diving for about five years if you include the COVID-19 pandemic. I attend Cypress Woods High School, and I am a member of the Varsity Swimming and Diving team. During my junior year, I finished first at the 17-6A District and 5-6A Regional Diving Championships. I placed 6th at the UIL Texas State Swimming & Diving Championships. I am also a member of The Woodlands Diving Academy. I have placed in the top 10 at the AAU Diving Championships on 1 meter and 3 meter for the past two years. I recently placed 5th on 1 meter and 6th on 3 meter at USA Regionals located at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.

Employment:
I work as a Watchman at PGfit. I work there three to five hours a week. Many of my responsibilities include:
- Assist with general maintenance and cleanliness of the facility as needed.
- Assist with lead generation activities
- Assist with marketing and advertising efforts, including but not limited to: social media, website, squeeze pages, sendoutcards, etc.
- Assist in other revenue generating activities, including but not limited to: seminars, workshops, charity workouts, etc.
